Canva released Craft, an image model it trained on human-designed templates rather than photographs. It makes images up to 2K, is built to keep text legible, and is available to all Canva users and through the API. Canva says chatbot access through MCP comes later.
Where you can use it
Craft is inside Canva now, for every user, and on the API. It is not a separate lab model you download.
Training on designed templates is Canva’s claim about why type and layout should hold up. That is a product claim, not an independent bake-off.
