Cookie policy

Which cookies GenzeBlog uses, what Accept and Reject do, and how to change the choice.

This page lists the cookies and similar storage GenzeBlog uses. It was last updated on 23 October 2026. The publisher is Muhammad Muhib. Questions go to hello@genzeblog.com.

The banner

On a first visit, a banner offers Accept or Reject. Accept turns on advertising and analytics cookies. Reject leaves them off. Essential cookies still run either way. The choice is stored in this browser under the name genze-consent. Cookie settings in the footer opens the banner again.

Essential

These are required to run the site. They are not used to build an ad profile.

  • The session cookie keeps a form submission and the editor login working.
  • The security token cookie checks that a contact or newsletter form was sent from this site.
  • genze-consent, saved in local storage, remembers Accept or Reject so the banner does not ask on every page.

Advertising, only after Accept

When a Google AdSense publisher ID is saved, and you accept, Google may set advertising cookies. Those cookies can remember that you visited GenzeBlog and can be used to show and measure ads on this site and on other sites. Google’s own description is in how Google uses cookies in advertising. You can also use Google’s ad settings.

If you reject, the site tells Google to keep ad storage, ad personalization, and ad user data denied.

Analytics, only after Accept

If a Google Analytics measurement ID is saved, and you accept, Google may set analytics cookies such as a page-view identifier. They are used to see which stories are read. They are not sold by GenzeBlog. If no measurement ID is saved, that tag is not on the page.

How to change or remove them

Use Cookie settings in the footer to accept or reject again. You can also clear cookies for this site in the browser. Blocking third-party cookies in the browser stops most advertising cookies even if you previously accepted.
